Sweets from the Earth Cookie Dough product review

 Today I want to bring you in on a little secret! I love home-baked cookies (and I secretly *love* NOT making them from scratch sometimes)! There I said it, I’m no Martha but I do still want a gourmet high-quality cookie that tastes amazing!

I’ve been a huge huge huge fan of Sweets from the Earth for about 5 years now. And I’m a really devoted fan – I have proof in my freezer at all times – there is always something in there for a quick treat. For years it’s been their incredible gluten-free and vegan Espresso Cheesecakes or Chocolate Cakes – that hit the spot numerous times over family get-togethers, play dates and even candle-lit date nights in ;) 

So when I found about their new Gourmet Cookie Dough, I was super excited to create new moments of happiness with a cookie in each hand! #truestory ;)

As much as I thoroughly enjoy grabbing all those separate ingredients coming out of my pantry… and whipping up the perfect recipe for cookies or any baked goods from scratch – sometimes I just want to eat a cookie – A GOOD COOKIE first!  I have patience but avoiding a mess and having something yummy just a few minutes away that tastes amazing is pure joy! (And if it’s not my cravings… it’s usually my 6 year old who can’t wait!)

And these babies come together really quick! There’s absolutely no mess because you can scoop right out of the bag straight onto a baking tray. And under 10 minutes – you have the best cookies on the Earth!

This recipe for the Gourmet Cookies is perfection! Amazing quality and organic ingredients that are combined to make the perfect cookie. My goal is to now try and recreate this recipe – but I know it’s just easier to stock up on a few packages! ;) I’ve had gluten-free cookies before that were store-bought – and they were usually too crumbly and dry – quite bad in my opinion which is why I resorted to baking my own recipes…. but now heavens have opened up… will I ever even want to bake cookies from scratch when I know this is so good and so convenient…. I don’t know ;)

And when you hear… “This is the best cookie ever!” come out from a little 6 year old’s mouth as crumbs cover her smiley mouth… I know it’s fun to have a good treat around for moments like these ;)

All I have to say is that these are a must try! 

There are two types of dough : Gluten-free and Nut-free for the Gourmet Cookies and there’s even Gluten-free Walnut Brownies.

And there are 3 flavours of each type of dough : 
Nut-free : Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate and Organic Ginger Molasses
Gluten-free : Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate and the Walnut Brownie – you would have no idea they are gluten free!

These make great hostess gifts especially around the Holidays, play dates or even great stocking stuffers for Christmas for any family especially one with allergies or who are gluten-free. But I say ‘for any’ because everyone deserves a quality baked good with great ingredients, no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours! 

You don’t have to be vegan or have dietary restrictions to love these desserts – any old sweet tooth will do.  They’re a healthier alternative to your run-of-the-mill baked goods, and you’ll never miss what’s missing from them!
