If you’ve been following my Instagram you’ve noticed a bit of an absence there lately…
the first round of absence was because my little babe got sick with a lingering cold and cough.
The second because I had to recharge my own body and mind and feel creative and inspired again…
Her cold wasn’t getting too severe for a visit to the doctor, but enough to have her wake at night from the cough and stay up from 4 – 6am (or so, but who’s looking at the clock?) :)We’ve been giving her some homeopathic syrup and that worked really great but still the cold/ cough had to run it’s course.
Good thing I’m patient and can handle all this…
It’s been a rough few weeks but I’m so glad she’s back to herself again.
This made me think of why I remained calm through all this stressful time.
(It’s the Holidays after all too!)
And it made me think of how my lifestyle changed so much through my healing journey.
I find ways for stillness and calmness right in the midst of stress.
Maybe it’s a little walk out in nature,
or maybe it’s a hot cup of coffee or tea that I can savour with each sip.
Sometimes it’s running an errand by myself or with my oldest just so I can turn up the music really loud and we both sing our heart out!
Whatever the stressor – there’s always a little stillness I reach for deep down to stay calm and centred.
Our life is not perfect – there’s a lot of things behind the scenes I don’t share that make days hard.
But I push through – I look for the good. I learn to accept and move on with life by savouring the good….
I look for happiness. Pure simple happiness.
ps. our december has been exceptionally warm with double digits – this alone gets a happy dance every day.
