overwhelming changes

February 18, 2010 by Ella

I want to get HEALTHY so bad and I recently got in touch with a doctor of Chinese Medicine – he said he can only treat me if I do the following:

DIET CHANGES

  1. NO dairy
  2. NO meat
  3. NO processed foods
  4. NO white flour
  5. NO sugar
  6. NO soy
  7. NO coffee
  8. NO alcohol for 3 months (occasional wine & beer acceptable after that)
  9. NO salt for 3 months
  10. NO fish
Diet should consist of :

50% whole grains: millet, buckwheat, spelt, oatmeal, whole grain rice, barley,  and any  flour from these grains as well as dark grain breads.

40% vegetables

10% nuts, almonds, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, flax, sesame, poppy seeds, legumes, peas, beans, mushrooms, fruit, butter, oils, sea salt, herbs and spices

PERSONAL CARE & HOUSEHOLD CHANGES

  1. NO aluminum product for cooking/ baking
  2. NO microwave use
  3. NO chemical cleaning products
  4. NO antiperspirants, deodorants, perfumes,
  5. Natural shampoos, soap and toothpaste (no fluoride)

+ Big Lifestyle Alterations

  • bedtime at 9pm (9:30 summer hours) no more than 8 hrs. (crucial sleep time 9:30-11 pm). This honours the body’s natural biological clock.
  • supper no later than 6pm. no grains/ breads in the last meal of the day
  • stress free lifestyle
  • moderate regular exercise
  • emotional stability, therapy

Can you say WOW – what’s a girl to do….?
