To continue our ‘making things’ week… I wanted to show you what we’re ‘making’ in our kitchen!
We have a blast making some fun animal shapes out of pancakes. Once you’ve got a batter ready to go, it’s really simple to create a shape you want. Here are some that we’ve done lately ;)
These make breakfast eating so much fun for kids (we don’t do this all the time) but when we’re in the mood and have some fruit we can shape on hand ;) we go for some PANCAKE ART in the kitchen!
Here is my great recipe for Buckwheat Gluten-Free Vegan Pancakes
Ingredients: 1cup rice flour, 1 cup buckwheat flour, 1/2 cup tapioca flour, 1 tsp sea salt, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp xanthan gum, 2 1/2 cup soy milk or almond milk, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, (you could add 2 tbsp of molasses and 2 tbsp of sugar)
Directions: Mix it up, let it sit for a few minutes, mix again and drizzle onto a hot pan sprayed with cooking oil ;)
Here are some other cute ideas that are really impressive ;)
Aren’t these super cute? Natalie‘s husband made these for their daughter for their daddy daughter date. Too cute ;)
This is a cute caterpillar. Seems pretty easy to pull off ;)
And these Pigs in a Blanket are also super cute ;)
I hope you’re inspired to make an ordinary breakfast EXTRAORDINARY with AWESOME PANCAKE ART – or just cute shapes that will surely impress your kids ;)
Here’s to a HAPPY DAY! (I think I’m making some pancakes for lunch today ;P)

Awesome pigs in a blanket. I really love that delicious-looking kitty. We make pancake art from time to time. What a nice reminder to do it again soon! Peace, Angela
