making memories

February 17, 2012 by Ella

We enjoyed a lovely week with tons of extra hugs and kisses, all things with hearts, and lazy days in the house with chocolates and hot cocoa. Miss G made one more coffee mug for daddy ~ this one broke so it was sweet to make daddy happy again. On one of the days while we walked in the snow from school, my little girl stopped, smiled and pointed to the sidewalk where a pretty heart was imprinted in the snow. These are the little things that really make my day…..

Hope you had a wonderful week filled with LOVE.

Have a great weekend ~ ours is extra long as we have a Family Day long weekend – a national holiday! Yeah! What are your plans for the weekend? We need some ideas here ;D

Happy Family Day and President’s Day my friends ~ enjoy your long weekend ;)

Looks like a lovely week. We spent our Family Day at a soccer dome. My son’s team was scheduled in for a couple of games. Wouldn’t be my first choice, but he had a good time!

Lovely. Lovin’ the heart shaped pancakes! mmmm… we’re pancake junkies over here.
I tried pouring a pancake into a heart shaped cookie cutter in the pan, it became very stuck, and we had quite a mess – end of heart shaped pancakes for us.
    Happy Family Day!!

Don’t give up on the heart shaped pancakes – they make for THE BEST breakfast ;D
I actually hand drizzle mine into the pan. Works alright and if some edges stick out too much, I just cut them off to make the hearts more even.
(sometimes when we make regular circle pancakes – I throw in a heart for fun and whoever finds it feels super lucky! ;D)
Hope you had a great weekend.
