No matter what comes your way,
consciously choose to make today,
a beautiful day.
So you burned your toast! ~ but it’s just one slice and there is more bread.
So you were stuck in traffic! ~ but you weren’t in that accident.
So you made a rude comment to a colleague! ~ you can still apologize and smooth things out by bringing them a cup of coffee or tea.
So you wrote out your grocery shopping list for the week but realized you forgot it when you were already at the store! ~ you can just wing it with buying the basic real foods you love and not caring about a big meal for that day. Sometimes it’s not about what’s on the plate (as long as it’s healthy), but it’s whether you take the time to sit down with your family to enjoy togetherness that really counts.
So your spouse promised to go out for a walk with you after dinner but now he says he’s swamped with work. You get upset! ~ go anyway by yourself or with the kid(s) and say it’s OK as long as he can go for a walk twice as long tomorrow ;)
There’s always something that comes your way that can throw you off balance. That’s life. Things happen.
How you choose to perceive the day is up to you. Every day can be beautiful…. A day doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. It’s enough if there’s a few moments that bring happiness to you and you let those moments linger for a little while…. There’s beauty in the everyday ~ look around, it’s waiting to find you.
Choose to see the day more beautiful!
- Enjoy that first sip of a really good cup of coffee or your tea.
- Go, take your lunch outside.
- Walk on the sunny side of the street.
- Tune into a good story your kid tells you. (they will not be kids forever).
- Let yourself laugh silly when remembering an old joke.
- Close your eyes for a moment and be thankful for this beautiful day!
Reflect on what adds beauty to your life…. What is it that makes your day more beautiful?
Wishing you all a lovely rest of the week. Make today a beautiful day! ♥ Ella

Thank you for the reminder. I go through cycles with this…I become more and more disconnected and then one day I wake up and remember how beautiful every.little.moment of life is! I actually find that this tends to go with the seasons for me. Each transition into something new is a reminder of how beautiful those different times are.
Ella says
Oh I would agree with the cycles for me too…. ;)
I’m not always so ‘connected’ with the world around me… so reminders are good ;)
I like how you see it with the change of the seasons… I will try to notice that ;) xo
