Happiness is…
A lovely weekend in the fresh outdoors…
Warm sunny november weekends are a blessing this time of the year.
We take them on with big smiles on our faces.
By the way, when was the last time you had roasted chestnuts?
they are incredible… so good hot straight out of the open fire…
We had a bit of family time and it’s so cute watching the kiddos
play and communicate together… true happiness.
Grandpa came over with a set of Dominoes –
it was instant fun and laughter and great fun for all ages
from 5 to 63.
I’m cooking up some great soulful meals –
this beautiful Canadian organic wild rice by Naosap Harvest will be made again soon…
We’re also getting into the Christmas spirit – are you?
it’s pure happiness driving down our street and
seeing Christmas lights up on some of the houses…
And let’s not forget about how happy I am about how the

Lovely weekend pics. My husband’s family loves roasted chestnuts. I don’t think I am quite in the Christmas spirit. Maybe I should start baking cookies. That always helps!
Ella says
Thanks Jo! Well it was either the chestnuts or a hot dog for food that day… guess what I preferred ;D lol
ps. I think we were just on each other’s blog that very same moment – because when I finished leaving a comment on yours, I came back and you left this one here ;) we’re having some bloggy vibes going ;D xoxo

I’ve never had roasted chestnuts. Oh I know can you believe it? To me
happiness is spending time with my husband and son….hiking, watching a movie, playing a game.
Ella says
JoLynn – it was only the second time in my life I had roasted chestnuts ;)
I don’t know why it’s such a seasonal thing – but I will have to give them a try in the oven or something because they are great. Even my 5 year old really like them. + they are super healthy! ;D
Your “happiness” sounds lovely ;D Thanks for sharing. xo Ella
