happiness is…

20 years of Love!

This Sunday, the whole family was invited to my brother’s 20th Wedding Anniversary.
It was great spending time with them and their 4 awesome kids!
And no one can believe that their oldest daughter is in her first year of college. Crazy stuff! ;D

So while we enjoyed our food and each other,
someone asked how they met….

Well, so this is their story… ;)

One summer day, my brother was at a local farmer’s market and was eyeing some fresh goodies to eat. He walked around and wasn’t sure what he wanted to get… until he spotted a beautiful, vibrant cucumber stand! But it wasn’t the fresh cucumbers he got excited about. Behind the baskets of the fresh veggies, was a beautiful young lady ~ the cucumber merchant! His future wife! ;D

She was helping out her parents selling their harvest when she smiled sweetly to all the customers that came by. He did not get any cucumbers that day! But just couldn’t sleep that night…. and the following day went to the farmer’s market again, this time to go straight to what he wanted – the girl in the cucumber stand.

But, she wasn’t there.

He came back the next day, there was no sign of her or the cucumbers. He was loosing his determination, but kept going back a few more times, only to end up disappointed again….

The farmer’s market season ended. The cold of the new season came… and took most of his hope of finding the girl in the cucumber stand…. winter took forever to end that year. He recalled.

But it did end. And when the freshness of Spring came on by… so did all the excitement in all the youthful spirits.

He went once to a local club with his friends one night where all the young guys and gals partied…

Amongst the music and the lights and the party excitement… he saw her!

But this time, he wasn’t willing to let her go! And he didn’t!
