egg’cellent egg decorating

April 19, 2011 by Ella

These are my latest inspirations for egg decorating. Don’t you just love these? (especially the first one – – ’cause it’s mine ;) oh that was cheesy I know. Sorry, just wanted to share this idea from last year for any new comers to my little world here. Anyway, for now, these are my favourite ideas for easy pretty egg decorating!

1. Nature Inspired w/ seeds and spices (see full post here) – very easy from ingredients in your kitchen cabinet ;)

2. zendala easter eggs – magic marker quickie

3. butterfly eggs – as you know, butterflies have a special place in my heart. I love this idea from Martha

4. Tea Time, Old World Eggs – oh so pretty and timeless

We usually decorate our Easter eggs just before the weekend so they’re still fresh to eat on Sunday morning. (I know I won’t be eating them – since I entered this sort of vegan world – what will I eat? hmm….Anyway, I still have time deciding on the decorating (and on the eating) – it may just end up stickers that my daughter will put on – we’ll see about the time. Or I should just get artificial eggs and decorate those since these projects are quite brilliant and who would want to peel these designs off anyway ;) But for now, these are my favourite ideas for easy pretty egg decorating! What are your plans for Easter egg decorating, if you participate at all?

Those are brilliant! There are some truly amazing, museum-worthy decorated eggs out there. This year we will be going the tradtional food coloring dye route. But I just saw these via Soulemama — I’m enchanted with them. Maybe next year…

I just posted pictures of the eggs we decorated! I love all the pictured eggs and I think number 2 would be super easy to do with a fine point Sharpie.

Wow. Those are breathtaking! Ours are the traditional PAAS egg variety with little toddler fingerprints all over them. :)
