COLOUR MEANING
What your favourite colour says about your personality:
The Meaning of Black:
Strong and detail oriented.
Black personalities want everything done in intricate detail. If a task needs completing, you want a black personality in charge. However, black personalities need leaders to tell them what must be done. Under guidance, they are able to accomplish a lot and solve very large, complex problems. They are extremely comfortable finding and correcting other’s mistakes. Black personalities like puzzles and problem solving. They often intentionally seek out mistakes just so that they can correct them.
Black is a relief color, meaning a comfort, for most people. Wearing black makes some people feel smaller, like they aren’t as noticeable to others. Sometimes people wear black because they don’t want to be touched. They feel that black clothing puts a barrier between themselves and others. (black is actually the absence of colour)
Wear black if you want to look slimmer – which will instantly improve your mood. It can be very elegant and make you stand out. But wearing black can be a downer (think funerals), and if you suffer from the winter blues or depression, it’s a colour that should be avoided in your wardrobe entirely.
.

However, as blue moves to the deeper shades, it becomes more moody and expressive. People who prefer dark blues tend to make decisions based off their emotions. Another characteristic of people with deep blue personalities is that they tend to be co-dependent. When they are down, they want others to be down with them. For men, if wearing a red shirt is too much for you, try a red tie against a white or grey shirt when dressing up. Not only is this look H.O.T. on most men but you will feel powerful, be more confident and feel more energized. (…. and sexy : just personal observation ;)
The Meaning of White
Pure, crisp, and clean.
White personalities tend to appear shy at first. They wait patiently for others to notice them before sharing their thoughts and opinions.
Since white is the color associated with purity, virginal attitudes are common with white personalities. They feel pure regardless of what they do. The virtue of purity is often attributed to them by others as well, whether they deserve this characteristic or not. White personalities feel they are right in their belief structures; however, they are not sure they want to discuss those beliefs with others. The fact that they know they are right is enough for them.
Wear white if you want to create a peaceful atmosphere. Contrasted with black it looks fresh and crisp and professional – think the white blouse with a black suit.
…………….
Does your favourite colour describe your personality well?
I find I like several colours and I do mix it up a bit. However, lately I do go into shades of grey – but that’s probably because it’s a trendy “fresh” colour now. When I have a moody day with low energy I often purposely put on a red shirt to energize or green to feel refreshed. I have not been a huge fan of yellow mostly because it doesn’t look right with my skin colour, but I have a few pieces now in yellow and I will try to layer them in with grey or black for contrast.
What’s your favourite colour? Do some of these describe you well? How do you add colour to your life and wardrobe?

Congratulations Ella on your CWA award! :)
Colors are a blessing…I surround myself with them. Right now, I’m wearing a nice deep purple – it is a very grey day, so I thought it called for a bit of brightness :)

My favourite colour is green – sounds a lot like me. :) It’s funny, because I don’t have anything green in my wardrobe except this beautiful beaded shirt that I, sadly, never find occasion to wear.
My wardrobe is not very colourful at the moment, but I’m working on it. I tend to bring in colour through light. I love reflective things and stained glass.

funny, I tend toward red, orange and yellows, though I think orange would best describe my personality.
I love your pic of the crayons!
