Well hello my friends! I hope you’re having a great day so far…. How are you, by the way? How are you surviving those winter days, are the winter blues getting to you, do you feel more tired, moody, stressed? It’s quite normal to feel worn out and drained around this time of the year. And if cutting out coffee, ditching it completely (congratulations to you if you did!) or drinking less was one of your New Year’s resolutions – than you will certainly like this.
Meet my new morning beverage. It’s Green Tea with Korean Red Ginseng. It’s a simple green tea I usually get that’s on sale, organic whenever I can, and here’s the crazy part – I kick it up a notch with Ginseng.
Recipe for Gingseng Green Tea
1 cup of steeped green tea,
10 drops of Organika Korean Red Ginseng Extract,
a drizzle of agave nectar or honey to taste. Yum..
Both green tea and ginseng have incredible health properties already within them. Did you know that….
Green tea ranks among plants with one of the highest antioxidants content. Many experts believe that antioxidants slow down aging, prevent heart disease, strokes and cancers. Unsurprisingly, preliminary scientific studies have found green tea to be anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-cancer. Did you also know that green tea aids in weight loss as well.
Ginseng is highly prized by the Chinese and is widely regarded as the King of herbs. Scientists have shown that ginseng makes the body more resistant to disease, restores virility, increases general vitality and reduces stress. It is widely accepted both in clinical research studies and in tradition that Korean Ginseng has important health benefits from stimulating brain efficiency to fighting fatigue. It plays a role in protecting liver function, promoting age delaying effects, regulating blood sugar, stimulating recovery from anemia, strengthening the heart, controlling blood pressure and overall enhancing the body’s immune system. Korean Red Ginseng is a specially processed ginseng where only the six-year old root is used. This process of steaming and drying increases the beneficial saponins that makes Korean Red Ginseng so highly effective and long-lasting.
So, isn’t it a win-win to drink green tea with ginseng? I like that this liquid extract, the Organika ~ Korean Red Ginseng Extract has a very mild taste and doesn’t overpower my tea. I don’t feel as though I’m sacrificing good taste. And I do love the boost it gives me! Now, I gotta conquer the day with a mad work day at a gift show set up ~ I’m grabbing my travel mug for this one!

I take Ginseng in capsule form. It works wonderfully. Since I began taken the green smoothies, I don’t take as many herbs and supplements as before.
Thanks for sharing Ella :-)

I never realised how many drinks and foods you can add green tea to. My favourite is a classic iced tea or green tea ice cream. I’ll give your recipe a try.
