this week : sick days

January 13, 2012 by Ella

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week. This Week we have been a bit under the weather for the most part, but things are much better now.

Things weren’t all that bad, we had extra cuddling time, book reading time, ballet dancing time (we’re into Swan Lake now),  pyjama days for both miss G and her mama, muffin baking and hot chocolate makin’ ;)

We also got started with Valentine’s crafts and I taught my girl to hand sew ~ we made a few beautiful little hearts that now are little cuddlies at bedtime. And last night when we were winding down for bed, but my daughter got a burst of energy, she ran up excitedly and said “mommy, let’s sew!” What a cutie pie ;) I think I found my little crafting buddy ;)

And today we’re much much better, and a big marshmallow world has formed outside to our surprise!~ so there will probably be some snowman making later today and more hot chocolate and maybe even more muffins, because we just love muffins around here ;)

I hope you had a great week – what were you up to? (please share)

Wishing you a lovely weekend! xo Ella

I am so glad you are feeling better. I have my little craft buddy here and they do make the day a whole lot more
fun. Enjoy your snow [I’m so envious].

My week is getting better. After all the emotional upheaval, I am finally finding calmness.

I went to the market today, while the snow fell, and purchased veggies and bones to make soup and keep my body and my family’s warm throughout this snow season, that has finally arrived! :)

So far, the flu has not paid us a visit – and for this I am thankful!

    Be blessed today Ella!

Glad to hear you are both feeling better! We still only have a dusting of snow out here and it’s getting really boring for the kids to not be able to play in the snow. I’d really appreciate if you guys could send a little West, please, lol ;)

So cute that she wanted to learn to sew! I think I’m also going to do a sewing project with the kids tomorrow. We’ve been pretty busy this week with back to school for Ashton, and I was back at work and catching up with lunch with friends, it’s time to slow down this weekend, craft with the kids and maybe bake muffins too. Because we also LOVE muffins here ;)

    Hugs,
    Steph

So glad things are on the up at your house! ‘Tis the season isn’t it? My littlest has a respiratory virus, so he has a puffer and a little face mask chamber thing-a-ma-doodle right now, which he isn’t too fond of. :(
Yay for a sewing buddy!! Oh to teach my littles to sew… That will be all kinds of good times.
And I hear ya about the muffins! Big fans here too. I may just have to make up a batch tomorrow!
