this week : a visit to santa

December 2, 2011 by Ella

This week we went to see Santa! It’s an annual trip we take with the kids for a Santa Experience at one of the local shopping malls. This isn’t just a regular sit-on-Santa’s-lap visit ~ this is one big whole hour with Santa. The big old guy is the real thing, beard and all, and he reads stories, sings and dances and interacts with the kids! We love you Santa ;)

My little nephew Daniel was in full energy (pushing his mama around) until it was time to sit on this old man’s lap. Poor little guy ~ I love this shot below when the two of them cover their eyes with their hands ;)

On the other hand, the girls had tons of fun! Here is Miss Gabriella with her friend Izabella ;)

So this was our highlight of our week ~ the Santa Experience!

That and my daughter this morning excitedly telling me in the I-know-something-you-don’t tone: “mommy, did you know that trees are made of paper!”
lol I hope we’ll make some Holiday crafts from those trees, I mean paper this weekend ;) (recycled of course ;P)

Hope you have a great weekend!

What was your highlight from this week that you want to make memorable?

You all look lovely and it doesn’t even seem all that crowded. Our best time so far this week (it ain’t over yet as we have a bonfire tonight) was the Holiday Stroll. There was Santa, his wife and churros!

adorable! He goes all out, doesn’t he? I grew up in a home that never did the ‘Santa’ thing, so I’m extremely jealous of your sweet daughter! What a precious moment for her!

      Thanks Laura Emily ;)
Growing up our Christmas wasn’t really about kids – so I’m kind of re-living the joy through my daughter ;)

I love the picture of Gabriella hugging the deer. Your nephew’s reactions are priceless!

We just went to see a light display that’s set to music on a radio station. So neat!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
