this moment – my little pumpkin

November 12, 2010 by Ella

this-moment-pumpkin halloween girl

I think we are done with pumpkins for a while, after all we’ve done the muffins and pancakes just this week – and guess what I discovered…. my husband doesn’t like the taste of pumpkin anyway (he finally admitted, after 13 years ;) (truthfully, we never cooked/ baked with pumpkins so it’s probably a new discovery, or maybe just a phase – I will try something again, and I won’t tell him there’s pumpkin in it ;) we’ll see what he says then ;)

I ended up freezing the rest of my puree in a flat freezer bag so it’s easy to break a chunk and defrost for a quick little something, maybe bread loaf, cookies or just more pancakes.

The Hallowe’en decorations HAVE to go. I think I am now ready for the Christmas season… nothing crazy yet, but I do want to make a few decorations myself with the help of my little elf. I just love the sparkle of lights during the winter and a few little subtle decorations here and there for now….

Inspired by SouleMama. Leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see.

Have a lovely weekend everyone! BIG WARM HUGS are being sent to you right now ;)

PS. I am planning to redo my daughter’s room so… a big PAINT job is in the plan ;)
So what are you up to this weekend?

Good luck getting her to let go of that pumpkin. Can’t wait to see what you make for Christmas. Send some good ideas my way. Would love to make some homemade gifts but I’m out of ideas. Counting on you and your creative ways

She is such a sweetie! My group art sale is this weekend so that’s most of what I will be doing and maybe some knitting.
Nothing is better than Christmas/holiday lights. I think we might try some elf cutouts inspired by your mice.
    Be well,
    Angela

I’m with you on the Halloween decorating. But I admit to not having gotten my little mice up the stairs yet. So really, I’m thinking – don’t mice fit with Christmas, too? ;) Your note about your husband made me smile. We’re married 18 years, and I’m still finding things out. Never a dull moment!
