Why you shouldn’t wait for the perfect conditions.

May 16, 2016 by Ella

Pure-Ella-quote-if-you-wait-for-the-perfect-conditions

Today, let’s just start doing the things that we need to get done so we have what we really want in life! You don’t even have to wait until the coffee gets brewed – drink water! ????????

If you’re waiting for the right conditions, you will never get anything done. The idea of the ‘perfect’ anything is just a setup for failure, that’s because it’s so hard to come by or basically ‘perfect’ doesn’t exist. Even if the stars do align and you’ve got everything going for you… chances are you will still find something in the way and find an excuse… What really delivers results is : Action. Doing IT. Eating the frog. Getting it crossed off the list. Check mark. Done. – that’s what it’s all about. Not waiting but just jumping in and figuring it out as you go along and adjust your speed when necessary.

For example, I just came back from a jog this morning :) Something I’m trying to work on more is improving my fitness game (it’s been a very slow progress coming from MG (a weak muscle illness)) and despite the baby and a puppy I took the jogger out, grabbed the leash, and water and headed out the door ~ now I feel so energized and feel great to take on the day!

It’s good to push yourself a bit more even if it feels scary… I used to fall when I walked by myself and could barely leave the house. My progress was slow but with nutrition and the power of food, treating depression and anxiety I regained my strength over time. I walked fine but jogging was frightening, I felt my legs become ‘jello’ and extremely weak just a few minutes into it. Then I stopped altogether because I was afraid of falling…But now I’m back at it and it felt great.. I did intervals between jogging and speed walking and it felt great to feel strong and stable (not clumsy) and I know that when I go farther every few days I’ll only keep improving… Because I haven’t tried jogging all winter, it felt scary again. My health is great but I was reminded of all my struggles in the last few years and I sometimes just don’t know how things will turn out. Yes, I doubt myself sometimes. But what helped me go ahead was the stroller itself. I had something to hold onto. I had complete support – just in case…

Having support right next to you is great to have! Whether it’s physical like in my case, or moral support from a trusted friend.

I was ok. If I kept waiting (for those perfect conditions) to get stronger maybe I probably wouldn’t have gone for that run…. I knew my own strength but I pushed myself anyway. I had support just in case. I took action and it felt great!

I don’t believe in miracles. I believe in hard work, discipline and the choices we make that manifest into greatness in our life. And greatness can mean so many different things, and it can be financial wealth, yes, but it can be as simple as living with less and finding joy in the simple moments of life.

Whatever you desire in life… don’t wait for that perfect time… waiting is just wasted time. Instead, why not start and take that step forward! Let’s do this!! :)

Wishing you all a beautiful day and week ahead!

Hey Ella! Thanks so much for sharing that. I really understand, it takes grit to just go for it when things are scary. With my health I can easily damage myself and get ill, and I have to, within reason, just push on and push myself to do those physical things. If I don’t then I will be worse off and I need to get a lot fitter. and that’s a real challenge. But life’s a challenge. Thanks so much for the inspiration xx
