Monday Motivation : Mind over Matter (or matter over mind?)

February 1, 2016 by Ella

Pure-Ella-mind-over-matter-quote

Change the way you think and everything you think about changes. (OR how about you make some changes to fuel new way of thinking???) Kind of a radical idea, but hear me out…

Our minds are so powerful – if you’re having a hard time and the day is not going so great – remember you can always save the day (and save yourself) by switching your thoughts to more positive and happier ones!

Although that’s true, this is often easier said then done unfortunately.

I have a very practical approach sometimes…. Sometimes I feel like it’s “Matter OVER Mind” because I feel that our brain health can get jeopardized and can therefore lead to poor self-esteem, poor concentration, foggy brain, self-sabotage, bad cravings, tiredness, anxiety… etc. etc.  Is it possible that sometimes our brains can lack nourishment to function its best?

Our brain health relies on so many things – food (like SUGAR?), sleep, oxygen, stimulation, exercise, the environment, relationships, stress, a difficult past, self-talk & self-love and so much more…. so it seems to me like it’s more possible to change the matter to improve the mind!

So why not take matter into your own hands and nourish your mind first! ~ does that make sense? (I am very practical like that in my thinking) :)

Why not nurture and nourish your brain so it’s healthier and happier…. and it may just produce some happier thoughts and some clearer thinking and it will have better memory and handle the day’s stresses a lot better… are you with me?

What can you do to improve the health of your mind today?
Maybe go outside for a brisk walk or eat some brain-food (hemp seeds and walnuts are my favourite), or remove clutter (improve your environment) so that your brain health will improve!?
