making memories

February 3, 2012 by Ella

I’m making some memories here ~ showing highlights from our week! I’m still laughing over a funny moment over a sushi dinner this evening  – when we wanted to turn off the tv for our daughter she yelled: I’m moving out! LOL It’s these kinds of things I want to remember that will bring a smile to my face when I’m randomly carrying on with the day ;) Love Her! The tv was off.  And we played Alphabet Words game ~ how many words you can think of that start with A, B, C and so on and we each take turns. ;) Then she talked about times when she’ll have a baby – lol.

This week we’ve been very busy. Work has picked up for me – tis the gift show season – and it’s a little crazy – but I love it. I’ve been thinking about doing a post about working mamas and how you can merge a career into a family life – and still be happy!

What were your highlights from the week? Would love to hear all about it! Have a great weekend – ours will be celebrating a two-year-old’s Birthday and trying to fit the game night into the same day for the boys ~ I think I need to plan a tea date with a friend;) What are your plans for the weekend?

Maria ~ I know it’s hard to do it all and it’s not for everyone – but some women have a need to fulfill their own personal aspirations. I will be sure to emphasize that ;)

Love all these photos, but my favorite is that big smile on your face! You look so happy and beautiful.

Turning off the TV can be a painful transition in our house. My kids try to make us really feel it, so we won’t do it too often ;)

I know, there need to be rules! ;)
Fridays, is our more laid back day so we allow some extra tv time ~ but they can’t have it all ;) And dinners and tv should never be mixed, right? Where’s the quality time in that? :D

True. That is one rule we stick to-no TV with dinner!

Such awesome pictures Ella. We’ve had a great weekend. I had a girls night, the kids a playdate … we are now catching up on some laundry and I’m ready to face the week without feeling behind. :) Hope you have a lovely weekend.

what sweet sweet memories you are making. you are so right – it truly is those funny little comments and moments that will stand out the most. i will remember playing outside a lot with my kids this week – and letting them paint with their bodies all over white paper taped to the floor. i will also remember how my 4 year old just randomly says, “Mom…I love you,” when I we are just being together. xoxo i think you sharing about being a working, creative, present mama is invaluable!

LOL…I love when come up with stuff like that.
So, I’m curious…do you exhibit at gift shows? If not, why does the season make you busy? photography?
I only ask because I am going to be a vendor at my first one next month and I’m kind of freaking out about it.
And um, yeah — a post about working mamas would not go unread by this workin’ mama!

A post on merging a career into a family life would be great! I have to work daily on not being down about working full time. Not that I have a choice but still, it sucks at times.
