Hello Friends! It’s been a while….. glad you could make it. Why don’t you sit down, make yourself at home and let’s have lunch!?
On the Menu, we have a bit of random good fresh things that together make up a great light meal. September is looking beautiful and this is a kind of meal I will still make up a couple of times before soup days roll in ;D
Arugula Salad : baby arugula, sliced avocado, sliced baby cucumber, garden-picked tomato, radishes; drizzled with homemade dressing and a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top.
Kids got this salad deconstructed as they prefer little finger foods.
Olive Oil Lemon Simple Salad Dressing : (as the name says it all) Extra Virgin Olive Oil, squeeze of lemon, dried basil, dried oregano, sea salt & fresh ground black pepper to taste.
Sides : Sourdough Rye bread, fresh chopped parsley from the garden, diced organic tofu for protein.
I love it when we get together, quite often unplanned, where food is thrown together haphazardly, still being delicious, still tasting great and fresh, and still having a great family time together around our round kitchen table. Good times.
Are you sitting down together as a family to eat at least one meal a day?
I sure do hope so…. apparently folks are too busy to sit down to eat together nowadays…???!!! Strange things indeed! *smile*

What a pretty, fresh looking lunch. (I’m afraid I’m already into soups.) We definitely sit down to eat together every night. No TV on. Period.

oh you always make everything look so fresh and yummy! I’m not ready for the soup days quite yet, so I’m going enjoy some garden goodness for a few more weeks.
Love that boy, looking up at the camera!
