lazy day

June 30, 2011 by Ella

Ahhh… I’m feeling the summer days are pulling me into lazy mode. I’d blame it on the heat, but it’s not even that hot outside – it’s perfect. comfortable. breezy. lovely.

We are playing hookey all day it seems. We drive our daughter to daycare (Thursday’s her day out of the house) and I can’t get anything done. I was outside in the garden for a bit – – then a spontaneous lunch trip came up and we were off to beautiful Port Credit by the lake in a matter of minutes.

What a crazy beautiful day it was to sit by the harborfront and have lunch. The boys (we met a friend) had the famous Burrito Boyz – – that used to be my fave. But no big deal, because I finally had the pleasure to taste some real raw goodness.

My pick was the super cute Raw Aura. If you haven’t been (and you’re in the area) you must! I was eyeing the Zucchini Spaghetti – but went for the Thai Wraps instead. Ohhh so amazingly delicious! I can’t wait for my next visit – maybe on another hooky day ;) I love summer!

Now I just need to pick up my ‘go girl’ vibe and kick some ass in the last few hours. On my to do list is some graphic design work, invoices, my own photography website stuff and tidying up the house – because tomorrow morning we are leaving for the weekend to Niagara Falls. Can’t wait!

Here’s to a fabulous long weekend everyone! Happy Canada Day & Happy 4th of July, in case I don’t come back ;) xoxo Ella

What are you doing this weekend?

Yes. your brother in law had the shrimp one – your fave ;)
I also had burritos we concluded, they were just veggies wrapped in lettuce – but seriously amazing – you’d like them too babe ;)

    I’ve never tried raw either…

Your lazy days sound brilliant! I hear we are supposed to have sun this 4th of July weekend but we’ll see… the sun has been avoiding us over her for some reason…

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

      Thanks Lori!
You must try eating raw food – especially in the summer – it’s so fresh and light but filling ;)
Have a great long weekend. Happy 4th!

uh, yeah. I’m guilty of playing hooky, too. Even though I have my girls with me all day every day, I have left all responsibilities by the wayside. Including house work. (not pretty over here right now)
I really need to get back to reality soon. Don’t I?
    Or do I…?
