kinder-garden

November 23, 2010 by Ella

You may remember my daughter’s nursery featured on Ohdeedoh last year (or see this post). It was a fun garden-inspired room that had so much energy and excitement for my little baby. Well that baby soon after was no longer a baby, and she just like her room has blossomed beautifully. The room is filled with bright colours and flowers with a cheerful energy. Take a look at the kinder-garden room she grew into….

kids-garden-room2Her little play area (simply consisting of 2 closet shelves placed sideways), is so fun for a little kid. It’s the perfect height for kids to sit, kneel and have tons of toys within reach.

Back to the play area. It is a great inexpensive quick fix before you decide on what furniture to get for a growing child. These shelves were used as standing up bookcases in the previous room when it was nursery. But now they are practical and versatile for this space and for little Miss Gabriella.kids-garden-room5I don’t know why I never photographed her room earlier and shared it’s design. I guess I never considered it finished. (I add and change things over time and when doing a room I don’t really ‘do it’ – do you know what I mean?) I just watch the space grow and just tweak it as it’s purpose, energy and mood changes….

I hope you liked her room – I am really emphasizing the past tense here ;) because the Garden Room is no longer there…. What!!!???? You say…. Yes, this is history folks – the room is now freshly (half) painted…. and in the midst of a territorial transformation…. from the garden into the woods we go….

Hope you’re having a lovely sunny and happy day!

Gabriella’s room looks perfect to me. It’s colourful and happy. However, I’m sure that the new room will turn out even prettier. I simply can’t wait to see it.
    Best regards!
