Hello my lovelies. I hope you had a sweet weekend with maybe a little romance sweeping through the air… ;)
We didn’t do much ‘romantic’ per se – – oh we wanted to, but we ended up with a sick little princess in the house (again), so our dinner plans got cancelled. And with a few rough nights of sleep with a sick baby – my husband did something quite romantic in my book. He said last night ‘why don’t you sleep in the other room so you get better rest for tomorrow’… I thought that was sweet ;) Although as a mother I felt like my world collapsed, ‘but I want to be there for her’… well, he convinced me in the end. And with me being up most of Saturday night and dealing with the drama (and my aching heart for feeling helpless for my wee one), this was actually a great idea. Thank you sweets, that is romance at it’s best in my book. And today, I can cuddle all day long with my little Valentine ;)
Oohh, I almost forgot, I also got an awesome mani-pedi-massage gift certificate bundle for a cool spa. (well, truth be told I found out about it last week – on purpose so it’s NOT a Valentine’s Day gift). You see, my husband is a non-participant of this holiday. But he still got me a gift which just happened to fall near that holiday. He’s that kind of a guy ;)
To kick off another week. Here is a beautiful video that I’m sure you will enjoy. It will make you appreciate the miracle in you. Take a look:
Have a sweet and lovely Valentine’s Day today and a great start to your week!
How was your weekend? Did you get to celebrate with some romance?

Seems that we had similar weekends, my kids are sick too! Being a mom is not always romantic, with the cleaning puke, trying to make fevers better and sleepless nights, but it sure is rewarding. How sweet of your hubby to surprise you like that! Enjoy your treatment when time comes :)
Hope your little girl feels better soon and Happy Valentine’s day to you :)

Thanks and sorry to hear about your tough weekend too… Well, this holiday is about LOVE so that’s the realest as love can get. Taking care of someone who needs you is the best way to show love, right? ;)
Once the kiddos get better, a little mommy rewarding will be necessary…. I hope you will be able to find that ;) xoxo

Feliz San Valentin, to you too ;)

I hope your sweetie is all better soon. That is very romantic-letting you sleep!
Your husband cracks me up. I can see what he means, the prices and crowds are all kinds of extra high on Valnetine’s Day. The next day everything is back to normal. ;)
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Thanks Angela. He’s funny – but I do have an update ;)
He came in today with flowers for his ladies ;)
I think this holiday is warming up to him.
xoxo Hope your V-Day is going great!

oh, poor little sick girl. We had one girl down, too, and then I got it. ergh. But I know that feeling, your heart aching for the helplessness. It’s times like that I try to remember to be grateful that my kids don’t have any serious health problems. imagine?
a mani-pedi gift certificate? oh good, now you can get that one you didn’t ask for at your sisters ;)
that video is awesome! I love statistics like that. they are all kind of hard to believe! thanks for sharing.
