happy day

November 28, 2011 by Ella

Hello my sweet friends. I hope it’s a good day so far for you and that you had a great weekend. For me, I don’t know how the weekend zoomed by…. it came and went too quickly. It was filled with the art of doing nothing ~ which really means a bunch of little things in a laid-back style. Not bad, although I do now wish I had one more day to catch up with laundry and squeeze in a craft or do something with those books. Oh well, there’s always the Monday to do that ;)

And right now, I’m smiling and thinking that today is a happy day.

This is what’s making me happy today:

– just the three of us enjoying togetherness
– my daughter declaring she no longer wants to be a ninja when she grows up – but a superhero
– old friends dropping by ~ with a spontaneous play date for the little one
– having a movie night with my daughter ~ we watched Enchanted and ate homemade cookies
(daddy had a guy’s night out ~ but I’m not entirely happy about that ;)
– laughing that my beet cookies were loved by my girl
– having a great time making Sunday dinner with hubby
– great warm weather near the end of November
– seeing sparkling Christmas lights all around already
– unpacking boxes of ornaments and hearing the oohhs and ahhhs of admiration from Miss G.
– knowing that Christmas will be here very soon ;)

What is making you happy today?

I hope you’re having a happy day so far and I wish you a great happiness-filled week ahead….

And just because… this a beautiful version of this song for you….

…. yes, it’s by Michael Jackson singing You are My Sunshine. Sad and beautiful in every way… isn’t it?

graphic above: A canvas print I’m doing for my sister’s bedroom – this baby will be 60″ wide! I can’t wait to see the finished piece in time for her Birthday ;)

ps. I am planning to do a Holiday Showcase week. If you have a handmade, eco-friendly or all natural product that you sell on Etsy or elsewhere that you would like featured, please email me at ella at lifeologia dot com. There is no cost for this feature to you, but there are restrictions and not all items may get added to a Showcase. Please email me for additional information along with photos/ links of the item(s) you would like featured.

Your print and that phrase made me happy this morning. I love when simple song lyrics show up on art work. It’s aweseome, Ella! xo
