I recently did a fun little project for my little nephew. He’s 2 months old and is already following his daddy’s footsteps on becoming a madman fisherman. His daddy’s hobby is VERY obvious – to me a little OBSESSIVE. But that’s OK. It’s a great past-time surrounded by NATURE. I’m sure it’s AWESOME.
To surprise little Daniel or more so his daddy, I made him a little FISH ONSIE. I found this great fish pattern on a pair of new boxer shorts, this fabulous fabric. I cut out one of the fishes in an oval shape so the background shows. Placed it in the centre and stitched on top. The stitching is a little rough, I went around twice so it’s part of the look, wink wink.
So here is the handsome little fisherman, saying “When do we start fishing?”
My sister loved the surprise and brought me 8 – that’s right EIGHT plain onsies so I do a whole set with all different fishes. That’s how much THEY LOVE FISHING. “They” is actually my brother in law – but my sister loves him – so it’s a FAMILY PASSION ;P
If you have some other fishy ideas for babies, please do share, I want to make (or buy) a few things for him still.
