Hello Friends! Another week just zoomed by and I’m not usually that excited about the week ending but… TGIF!
Our family highlight was last weekend when we were babysitting and had a little guy stay overnight. We had another baby to take care of – yes I know that most of you have more than one yourself – but this was really exciting for us.
The thing that there were now two kids, a 3 1/2 and 1 year old, didn’t scare me – in fact that was the benefit because my daughter was entertained and it was great seeing them play together. But both me and my husband completely forgot what to do with a baby. It was funny peeking into a diaper, holding the little hands from reaching into a bowl of food, and just really sweet to see the little crawler move around the house – instant smiles!
I blended all his food to a fine grit because I though he was at that level. Sorry buddy you didn’t have a proper meal ;)
.
The next morning was the most beautiful snow day we’ve ever seen.
Everything was white. Light fluffy flakes slowly made their way down, it was fairly warm for a winter day, no wind, and just perfect for a sleigh ride. It was so sweet seeing two little heads popping up in the sleigh. Aren’t they cute. Can we keep him?
Here’s a bit of FF sharing from last week, this time from Deb at Paper Turtle, who wrote:
“My cool moment of last week was a trip to Sedona with my grown-up girl.
(Don’t blink! Gabriella will be 22 1/2 before you know it!)”.
Thank you Deb for visiting and sharing your moment. I loved it and made me feel all warm and fuzzy trying to picture my girl all grown up….. oh wow ;)
What are your highlights from the week? Please share in the comments and I may choose one of you to share your highlight next week! (if you’d like you can leave a link if you’ve written about it).
Have a lovely weekend.

Aw, Ella, aren’t you sweet. :o) Thanks for the shout out here in your adorable post.
I have been feeling so sentimental about all the “little ones” in my family becoming big kids. I tease with my daughter a lot saying that I want a grand-child because I really miss having little ones around. I know it will be a while (and for her sake I hope so!) but I do look forward to that day. So glad you got to borrow a baby! Gabriella looks thrilled. :o)

Deb that will be a thrill for sure when you have a little grandchild – oh my.
It’s a beautiful cycle of life isn’t it. Everything comes in it’s own time ;)

have a great weekend!

What a great post auntie Ella!!! Our little ones are sooooo happy together. My son just adores Gaga. He says her name even in his sleep. Right now he is very happy because she stayed over night and they will play all day long. I love to watch them grow becoming best friends!
Lots of love, hugs and kisses!!!

It looked like you were all very comfortable having that extra little one! *hint, hint* ;)
We had a busy week between taking my son to kindergarden, my part-time job, volunteering in my son’s class, my studies, etc, etc. But I love that this week, my kids reminded me about something important. When they make messes, they are just playing and using their imagination! And imagination is so important!
Have a great weekend!

I’m picking up on the hint hint you’re trying to make ;D
I don’t know…. (life’s so complicated right now)
it would be amazing but I think we’ll stick to borrowing babies for now ;)
– and I loved your perspective on messes that kids leave behind. very good reminder indeed ;)

Isn’t it funny how sometimes having more kiddies can actually make life easier (as long as it’s not permanent :-)) – although he does look cute enough to keep!
have a great weekend

how quickly we forget how to care for babies. WE have that same experience when we babysit our nephews. You forget how all-consuming they are, too. Can’t take your eyes off ’em.
That pic of the two kiddos in the sled is adorable!
Our Family highlight would be from Wednesday, when we kept the girls home from school and went skiing. SO much fun, nothing but laughs.
