I’m like a kid, excited and giddy, when I see a butterfly. I admire their beauty and love their transformation journey. Their nature is a strong symbol for me, personally, and I now find myself connecting to a a fluttering butterfly even more…
So you could imagine, that our trip to a butterfly conservatory was filled with pure excitement and awe – and my daughter had fun too ;)
Here’s a little photoshop tip for one of the shots above. It was cute already but I found the graphic too distracting. Sorry Backyardigans ;)
Yes, what I should have done, was dress my daughter in a neutral shirt to begin with. BUT, it was a pretty cold day and this was her ‘undershirt’ with a cute sweater on top. Well, I didn’t know that the conservatory was extremely HOT. So if you plan to go, dress in t-shirts and avoid a lot of photoshop work ;)
What I did: I masked out an area with a selection tool and used a clone tool to patch up the graphic. (I totally overuse the clone tool – but the photoshop police haven’t found me yet)

Hope you all have a lovely rest of the week! I’m back to finishing off my list ;)

Those are some beautiful pictures. I get a little afraid at conservatories because I don’t want to step on the butterflies. They are everywhere! Love the chrysalis photos. Your daughter is beautiful.
Amazing….what a magikal place it must be! Your images are lovely.
