making hand-printed tree, going nuts for pesto, squeezing in a movie night ~ Carnage was a very enjoyable film, my girl doing a craft inspired by Artzooka all by herself, oh and we use the yoga mat for everything ;), going through my old desk calendar and pulling out pages to frame as art from Kelly Rae Roberts, I’m also enjoying our Excalibur ~ we’ve made raw crêpes several times this week alone ;)

Happy Friday my friends! Here are a few snapshots from our week…. not all, as I took out my card reader from my camera the other day and put it somewhere… and now I can’t find it at all…. A sign that Spring cleaning is to be continued (and the fact that I’m loosing my mind ;) I think I just realized now how there was a big inspiration into the greens this week. Maybe because green just feels like spring or St. Patrick’s day ;) Spring definitely came by this week, for us. Did it for you where you live?

It was also March Break, so my daughter had no school – and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We did some crafts, went out for long walks, had a playdate with a friend. It’s been a full week. I’m kind of exhausted to be honest. I also cheated just a tad with my sugar-detox (nothing huge, but I did have a few more of those dark chocolate squares – I couldn’t help it ~ it was just one of those days where a piece of chocolate is a girl’s best friend.

I’m also super happy I had two photoshoots booked for this week. I did really well and I surprised even myself with the energy I had in me ;) So good to be around people ~ one of the reasons I’m switching things up from graphic design. But it’s my busy season and I really miss doing my blog more and visiting my friends around on their blogs. So my apologies that things were all slow here and that you haven’t seen me around visiting you. Hopefully next week, I’ll be able to cross some things off the list and do something fun again ~ like more blogging and more crafts perhaps ;D

What memories were you making this week?

xo Wishing you a lovely weekend! xo

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week.

We had a crazy weather rollercoaster all week long. Last weekend ~ which I’m sharing the picture from was beautiful, sunny and warm. Then we got a slice of winter for a couple of days. Then yesterday, was a Spring day – I kid you not! We enjoyed some playground time with a true spring breeze going by ~ I could smell the rebirth of the earth and the warm hug of the sunshine upon me. Today however, is an entirely different season yet again. Well, the season is the same – it is clearly Winter – with its old man winter kind of charm ~ the kind I don’t really like. We will probably bake some cookies or do something cheery to have the day go by more  happily. I picked a cute yellow top to cheer me up ~ we’ll see how that goes.

This is a photo from our Family Day last weekend ~ I will attach more photos later on. I know I’ll hear it from my family if I don’t, as they know very well that we did not take only one photo. So, stay tuned! ;)

Isn’t this room really cool! One day when I have a big old 100 year old house with its full nostalgia, character and charm, I will paint one little nook of this house exactly like this with a big tree and a nature mural on the walls and ceiling…..so I could escape, maybe paint and just feel happy in a room like this…. ;)

Wishing you a lovely sunshine-filled weekend! (let’s only hope – I’m sure we all could use some more sunshine)

Our week was full. So full in fact that I couldn’t get my photos uploaded here on time…. oh but there is just so much I want to share from the week. In actuality it was just a random normal week – uneventful really. But I like those the most ;)

We had a lot of playdates booked as we were soaking up the good times with our neighbours in their last days of living here on our block. Their moving day is approaching and this will be so very sad for Miss G to not have her buddy at school anymore. Not only that but we will miss our spontaneous walks, teasing and running races that we loved to have just outside our front doors.

The Valentine’s Day cards are done – store bought – yes, I know, what a shame ;) but my little Gabriella hand wrote each of the names all by herself without supervision. We got a lot of crafts done ~ with a bit of a Valentine’s theme. And we ate lots of great food. My sister came for one of the nights and we had a sushi making party that was so much fun. And we ended our week with a big project that involved a hammer, some nails, lots of frames and a big white living room wall! Yes!

Oh and I went with the Mr. to a special preview of the Oscar nominated In Darkness – it was an amazing film. I see an Oscar all over this one.

I hope you had a great week also ~ and you are having a lovely weekend! Can’t wait to hear all about it ;) xoxo Ella

ps. I have lots of fun stuff to share with you for Valentine’s Day ~ oh I wish I had more time I will try to squeeze it all somehow. See you soon ;)

I’m making some memories here ~ showing highlights from our week! I’m still laughing over a funny moment over a sushi dinner this evening  - when we wanted to turn off the tv for our daughter she yelled: I’m moving out! LOL It’s these kinds of things I want to remember that will bring a smile to my face when I’m randomly carrying on with the day ;) Love Her! The tv was off.  And we played Alphabet Words game ~ how many words you can think of that start with A, B, C and so on and we each take turns. ;) Then she talked about times when she’ll have a baby – lol.

This week we’ve been very busy. Work has picked up for me – tis the gift show season – and it’s a little crazy – but I love it. I’ve been thinking about doing a post about working mamas and how you can merge a career into a family life – and still be happy!

What were your highlights from the week? Would love to hear all about it! Have a great weekend – ours will be celebrating a two-year-old’s Birthday and trying to fit the game night into the same day for the boys ~ I think I need to plan a tea date with a friend;) What are your plans for the weekend?

this week : winter days

this week :

We enjoyed more wintery days…. some with snow, some with rain, and we’re back to a beautiful winter wonderland right now. It’s one of those weeks that I don’t care to record in time, I feel pretty drained from working at a gift show ~ either the dust or the physicality of the job, or both,  just made me shut down, again….

Shall I ramble on?…. the house is a mess, everyone has the sniffles,  the fridge is empty, I’m tired of looking at my friend’s beach vacation photos on facebook as we don’t plan to go to a resort ourselves anytime soon (and we would really like to), and yesterday, my daughter’s friend flushed my bracelet down the toilet ‘accidentally’ ~ maybe so, but just a reminder to please teach your children that once something falls into the toilet accidentally or not – they don’t have to flush – call for help! And although challenging and not-so-fun, there are ways to retrieve mama’s beloved things.

What have you been up to this week? Any fun plans for the weekend?

I have some recuperating to do and have a sister-date night planned Saturday night! I’m looking forward to that ;)
