Well we’ve had an amazing week 18 degrees on most days – WOW – Spring is literally here (although the temperatures will drop down to single digits next week). Still I thought it would be great to post my baby’s nursery pictures. Although she’s no longer a baby at 2 1/2, I wanted to capture the way her room was when she was little. Today we are also assembling her ‘big girl’ bed so there will be a lot of changes happening – those pictures will follow.
Spring Garden Nursery
I did this ladybug painting on her first sleepover at my sister’s. It was my first evening off when she was about 7 months old. I obviously didn’t know what to do with myself… I haven’t painted anything for more than 10 years ;P
These are ‘closet shoe shelves’ that I got from Home Depot a while I go. I did use them in our closets for years but now they got promoted to Toy & Book Shelves for my daughter.
These are very versatile (not just for closets) – wait till I show how we utilize them now!
I always saw my daughter as an ARTIST – I love to encourage creativity in her and even when I was planning her room this Artist’s Wall was a major part of it.
I have used Ikea magnetic strips to mark my area and I secure paper with magnets to the strips. I am also updating this wall to be even more multi-functional and will update you once this nursery gets a ‘toddler upgrade’.
This is an area behind her door where I hung cute and colourful BUG hooks.
