All our Potluck Parties really offer Clean Eating recipes but this week we’re truly focusing on the best healthy recipes out there!
So what is Clean Eating you ask? Here are a few pointers to what Clean Eating & Clean Food is all about:
- Lots of fresh plant foods
- No processed foods
- Whole grains and avoid white flour and white rice (check labels as sometimes the packaging will say “Whole Grains” but really there’s only a small percent of whole grains added to white wheat flour.
- Eat fewer ingredients : check the ingredient list and look for a short ingredient list where you can read and understand all the ingredients.
- Eat smaller meals. Reducing portion sizes and and eating 5 meals a day instead of 3 large ones will be gentler on your digestive system. Don’t wait until you are starving and then load up on a heavier meal – that will be serious damage.
I hope these guidelines help everyone along with introducing a Clean Diet.
