I suppose it’s now or never to post some of our photos from our Christmas. Now that it’s all over, it seems like it was ages ago…. onto the next thing, I suppose. And yet, I do feel excited looking over our photos. It was a busy time for us but such a beautiful way to get together and enjoy good food and good company of our close ones.
So I would love to share with you a little recap of all the fun we’ve had! Here are our Christmas 2011 photos:
We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house over an evening supper, followed by opening of gifts that Santa dropped off by our front door ~ because that’s what he does for the houses that don’t have chimneys ;)
On Christmas Morning, Miss Gabriella found a little something in her stocking that was missed the previous night. If you think you are seeing a chalkboard front door in my foyer ~ you are darn right! A full house tour is in the works for 2012 – promise!
Our Christmas Day was spent at my older sister’s home. They served a lovely dinner and it was a great evening to finish off our Christmas celebrating.
What was really special, was being reunited with our little sister and getting to know her boyfriend. Ahhh they were the true magic of this Christmas ;) We have cut back on the commercialism of Christmas and only the kids get gifts. It’s still fun without the pressures of buying things people don’t really need. (but secretly, I kind of miss the excitement of getting and giving a little something to my fave people in the world ;)
How did your celebrating go? Please share how you celebrated the Holidays in the comments below (and go ahead and leave a link if you’ve written about it ;) xo
ps. I have added new photos to the Our Holiday Home post ~ check out how our home was decorated for the holidays this year ;)

Can’t wait for the house tour! And I’m loving the mood you’ve captured in these photos. So twinkly and cozy.
Thank you Clair ;)
I also love those twinkling lights ~ I wish I could keep those all year round ;)

Ah what a beautiful time. That is awesome you were able to connect with your sister. I like the pressure of not having to give gifts to adults (we aren’t doing that yet), but I have opted for smaller or handmade things. I totally get trying to reduce the commercialism/materialism. I think I felt much better this season because I rarely saw a tv ad trying to sell me something. They always make me feel like something is missing.
