What is done about it?
Cancer for sure is scary to even think about, and dreadful for anyone affected by it. Help is needed – that is a fact. In the last few years, fundraising events have been formed to raise awareness and $$$ to go towards researching THE big cure. Fundraising events are supportive, social and positive. Stories are shared, a common goal is experienced, and communities are formed, people get hugged. It’s a beautiful thing.
What really happens?
Anything that brings people together in a positive way is beautiful. The people are happy. And any big corporation that has their logo slapped on everywhere is happy too… They look good because they are helping. But who they really are helping is themselves. It is now a growing trend for large companies to get involved with a charity and raise money for that cause. Cancer fundraising is currently the most popular cause.
My apologies for these raw words that contradict with the general ‘good cause’. I am very supportive of finding a cure and am passionate about the people affected by any horrible disease, cancer included. But let me be frank as I have a little inside scoop as to the work behind the scenes of such fundraisers. About 8 years ago I was on a committee of a fundraising event. No names need to be said, but it included several big companies as partners in support of. In our first meetings the questions were raised; ‘so what cause do we support this year? Aids? Cancer?’. ‘Let’s do Cancer – it’s popular now and it will fit the event well’…… Really? I sat there quietly with a notepad but my pulse went on a rampage and I felt goosebumps on my skin. Boy did I learn a lot from these meetings. And you know what else? Most organizations give their ‘net proceeds’ to the research companies. Do you know what net proceeds are? It’s the little money left after everyone gets paid. You think they volunteer? No, they get paid very well. The only volunteers are the general public that really care – like you and me.
Everyone wins! Not so!
So you get involved in the local Cancer Society events: Cops for Cancer, Daffodil Days, Relay for Life, Galas, CIBC Run for the Cure and so many many more…..
You buy Breast Cancer fundraising products that range from soup to nuts…almost literally. I have also worked with a company that created a collection of products with the pink ribbon – - why? hm, because it made them look good.
Beware of pinkwashers: “We’re concerned about companies claiming to support the fight against breast cancer while manufacturing products that may be contributing to rising rates of the disease. They can’t have it both ways”, said Barbara Brenner, Breast Cancer Action’s executive director.
- Cosmetics companies such as Avon , Revlon, Estee Lauder and Mary Kay all direct a percentage of their profits toward efforts against breast cancer. They also manufacture products containing phthalates and/or parabens, hormone-disrupting chemicals that may affect the development of cancer.
(Evidence suggests that young females with developing breast tissue are particularly vulnerable to this risk. Avon recently launched a cosmetics line aimed at teenagers and began recruiting young women as sales representatives, with youth sales taking place at slumber parties and other gatherings. As Avon expands its reach to younger age groups, the potential dangers of its products are of even greater concern, Brenner said.)
- BMW’s Ultimate Drive campaign entices prospective customers to test-drive one of its vehicles by promising $1 to a breast cancer foundation for every mile test-driven. Components of car exhaust known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been linked to breast cancer and a host of other illnesses. (Ford, General Motors, and Mercedes-Benz also sponsor breast cancer promotions.)
It’s a good thing!
Breast Cancer fund raising events are plentiful across North America. The most popular kind of events seem to involve physical activity which is good considering that increased physical activity is one way you can reduce your chances of getting breast cancer. And it gathers large communities of people with a common goal and you can create a great album on facebook to show of your kindness to the suffering – which makes you a good human. Running, walking, cycling events are fantastic to promote good health that’s for sure and let’s not forget about promoting that big guy with their big logo in front of that great cause.
The real awareness!
Do your own research and don’t be so gullible that everyone has good intentions. Cancer is a business.
The cure is here!
What would you say if you found out there already is a non-invasive cure for most cancers out there? Most of you have not heard of this man or have not come across his research and treatment clinic – because the pharmaceutical companies (one of the most profitable businesses) along with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) just don’t want you to cure something too easily when they can profit immensely with the way things are now: fundraisers, invasive treatment that will have you take subscription meds for the rest of your life. You become committed to their product for life – come on, that is the best business strategy ever.
So who is this man and clinic I speak of. His name is Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D. - Medical Pioneer, founder of the Burzynki Clinic. who is an internationally recognized physician and scientist who has devoted his whole life to cancer research. Burzynski Clinic has been treating thousands of cancer patients from all over the world for over 40 years.
Dr. Burzynski is a pioneer in cancer research, known worldwide for discovering Antineoplastons, which act as molecular switches to turn off cancer cells without destroying normal cells.
Burzynki Approach to Cancer
Burzynski Clinic does not believe in a “one size fits all treatment” for cancer patients. ”Our care encompasses a personalized and customized approach based on the individual genetic “fingerprint” of each cancer. Meaning what causes and stimulates that particular patient’s cancer. Our goal is to be as sophisticated as possible when treating our cancer patients. This method reduces the use of potentially ineffective medication and leads to remarkable health improvement, saving time and money.”
Take a look at this video and watch many others with Burzynski on YouTube:
and if you grab a nice big cup of tea, you can watch this amazing documentary:
If you are considering supporting the cause to fight cancer, this is where your money should go so our common dream of life without cancer is here!
Please donate to this address to support the Burzynski Treatment.
Don’t let your money slip into the wrong pockets of large companies and even larger pharmaceutical companies.
In respect to a few members of my family affected by cancer, a friend fighting with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and a dear friend who recently lost his battle leaving behind three little boys – I will be sending a cheque soon to support this great man and his real vision of a life without cancer. I hope you’ll join me and spread the word that THE CURE IS HERE!
(we just need it to be available to everyone who needs it – easily, quickly and cost effectively through money raised)
I would like to form a charity with 100% of the money going to the Burzynski Clinic. If anyone would like to join me and contribute, email me with your interest or post a comment with your interest and I will set up a PayPal account. Please and Thank you. Please spread the awareness that THE CURE IS HERE!
