Happy Monday and Welcome to November ;)
Did you have a good time yesterday during Halloween? I would love to hear from you all how your evening went about ;) did you do some trick-or-treating with your kids or stayed home and just relaxed?
We had a great time trick or treating – it was officially a real experience for my daughter (last year we only went to about 3 neighbouring houses, as she was only 2 and it was hard for those little legs to do all that walking ;)
Well this year, she really put on a brave unicorn face and had a great time keeping up with the older kids we tagged along with. (we’ve discovered how grown ups can also have some fun and grab some cups ‘to go’ filled up with some yummy drinks to keep you hydrated, warm and a little buzzed ;) Just a little doesn’t hurt ;) – my indulgence was a hot chocolate almond milk with a splash of Talea – that ladies, is a must have drink on one of these cold nights this winter – I am telling you – heaven on earth ;) LOL
Here is a little peek at my little FLYING UNICORN :)
trying to warm up to this idea of walking around at night when temperatures are down sooo much ( we had only about 5 degrees last night ;) YIKES!
I was thinking how I could tie in my usual Monday Motivation to this post (Talea does not count ;) on a Monday morning) as I was excited to share with you my photos ;) So here it goes:
Motivational Pretending!
Pretending for adults is often looked on as a negative state – Quit pretending – live a real life! sayings come to mind. But I think pretending can come as a rescue source and pick you up when you need it.
From a personal experience, let me tell you that when I was feeling down (real down), I would pretend and tell myself “I AM FINE”. I would continue to act ‘fine’ around my husband, my daughter – I pretended I was well for my state of mind to BELIEVE I was fine. This isn’t to be confused with pushing real life aside and avoiding to deal with problems – that came at it’s own time (believe me). (And it is strongly encouraged to work out your issues with yourself/ family or therapist). But it was really just a simple point to dress up, sometimes way too nice for a work-at-home mom and just tell myself I AM GREAT TODAY!
Motivate (pretend) you’re GREAT TODAY! How can you PRETEND POSITIVELY and move in a better direction? I would love to hear your thoughts…
HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE – I hope it will be a great start to November for all of you ;)

First of all I’m loving the idea of spiked Hot Chocolate – now why didn’t I think of that.
Secondly, I have just read about your illness and I want to say how inspired I am by your positive, upbeat attitude. I will keep you in mind the next time I’m feeling a blue and will try to remember to focus on the positive.
In terms of pretending positively – I don’t think I do this but I do try to believe that I can change something about a negative situation if I just try hard enough and believe in it enough. Does that count?
Julia thanks for your kind words in your comment ;)
I guess I’m living the ‘you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone’ life now ;)
I try to be thankful and now just try to catch up on missing out on the last 3 years.
I’m sure you will enjoy that warming-up drink real soon! Cheers. Ella
