Ok I realize that this FISH thing is too much. It started with a cute onesie, or onsie – how is it spelled anyway (both versions are underlined by spellcheck ;P) Anyway, when it came to a snack time – we fished (lol) around for something yummy and fun to make with my daughter. Here is what we made up:
Goldfish Tuna Salad
So… I don’t know why but I grabbed a can of tuna and made a simple tuna salad with just sea salt, pepper and celery seeds. I served it with Goldfish Crackers for fun. But, my daughter grabbed a bunch in her little hand and threw some crackers into the tuna salad. So this is really HER RECIPE – not bad, huh? Proof that your kids will LOVE it too.
Goldfish (giant) Tuna Salad Snacks
Then I pulled out some of the Giant Goldfishes, and scooped some of them onto the crackers. We had a lot of fun feeding Gabi with them (yes I know she’s too big to be fed :P) We made the fish swim in the air (like you make an airplane out of a spoon) This was fun. I can’t say this gets a 10 out of 10 for being a healthy snack – but once a while – it doesn’t hurt. So try some with your child(ren) – they will LOVE’EM!
I don’t often cook with specific brand products, but if you liked this post, you might also like Almond Rice Krispies, it’s another fun recipe I did with my daughter. Great to do over the weekend.
