So today is the day… I am getting a thymectomy (a surgical removal of the thymus gland). Yikes! I am trying to stay calm but I am extremely nervous. I’m dreading getting my throat slashed and then hopefully waking up to a nasty recovery.
Yesterday was a very emotional day. I actually wrote a letter to my 2 year old daughter – in case I didn’t make it through. I sobbed most of the day and really believed I ate my last supper…
I am feeling a little more optimistic today, so hopefully you’ll hear from me with my post surgery thoughts.
