(seasons in review)
Hello my friends. It’s the end of another season, (almost)
and our ‘fall-ing memories’ are soon to be just memories….
This is a seasonal sequel that started with SUMMERIZING : a summer in review. It’s a fun way to go through your posts and photos and reflect back on what’s been happening this Fall 2010.
(Yes, I realize Winter doesn’t start until the 21st of December, but it sure feels like fall is over and done with and by the 21st, we’ll all be so busy with Holiday preparations that this will be the last thing you’ll want to think about. So, go ahead and have fun summarizing, and link up this time, so we can easily go around and get to know one another better ;)

What is the best memory of this season for you?
My best memory is probably of a day we spent at a local farm and I watched my daughter go for a pony ride. She went previously but without me, so we were all anticipating her riding this cute little pony. She talked about that for days that now I would get to see her and be proud of her. She was right, I was very proud. Her first pony ride started a passion with everything horse-related. She’s never asked for so many carrots ;)
What is the one event you looked forward to the most? Did it turn out as you expected?
I guess I definitely looked forward to my 30th Birthday in September. It was such a bright happy day and we planned a perfect hang out spot by the lake. It was a family and friends daytime event with lots of kids running around. There happened to be great free attractions right next to us, organized by a local church. The kids probably thought it was all for my birthday. They had a jumping castle, face paining, balloon artist, music and dancing. I was an awesome day.
Have you done/tried/tasted something completely new, how was your experience?
Well I experimented more with vegan, gluten free baking and it was great, I made these awesome pancakes and muffins, this chocolate mousse cake. And I painted a room all by myself, which I’ve never done before (I’m treating myself from a muscle illness – so this was a HUGE success ;)
Is there a valuable lesson you learned this fall?
That time flies. lol. Maybe it’s the over-thirty outlook, but this fall seems like it never happened. All of a sudden, the trees are bare. What happened???? I learned to focus on the things I want. I want to be healthy and happy and I know I will have to step out of my comfort zone to get there.
Have you applied yourself creatively and created projects that you wanted to?
Yes, I opened up my own Etsy shop! I still want to design so many more posters, so slowly I will build it and they will come - – as the saying goes ;)
I finished a knitting project of this scarf I was excited about. Made a fun family tree that the whole family got involved in. I also took a stab at some jewellery design ;) I sewed a few things, like drapes for my daughter’s room, and a few other goodies that I haven’t posted yet ;)
Is there something you wanted to try or complete that you didn’t have the time for? What do you think stood in your way and will you still attempt it?
Yes my stab at getting my photos organized isn’t going well. The year is almost ending and now I’ll get busy with Christmas to do lists and I can’t just keep on avoiding this. I already didn’t honour my 30 before 30 list, and I’m so ashamed that I’m not a great role model behind those Monday Motivations ;)
From your fall experience, what are you most grateful for?
I am grateful for my cheerful daughter and my supportive family. I’m lucky that I have a flexible schedule and I can do little things like crafts, photography and yes, my blog;) It’s a luxury – having a blog, don’t you think. If you running a blog, you’re lucky ;) I’m also thankful for being able to connect with so many beautiful people through this modern-day luxury.
What was your favourite place you travelled to? Do you plan to go back there?
Quebec City, the only trip we took. But it was just me and hubby and we had the best time.
What inspires you?
Sunshine on cold days, the smell of something delicious baking in the oven, emotional stories between friends, my daughter’s random talks, her giggles, silence in the evenings, relaxed breathing, beautiful photography
What are your favourite blogs at the moment?
Is there a blog post you’re most proud of?
I liked putting together this, just because it focused on the opening of my Etsy shop. Yay. Still didn’t make a sale so I still have a long way to go. But I am happy I did it! I also have a post over on Rhythm of the Home that I put together with my daughter, making ornaments from scratch. She had so much fun doing this little project with me.
What is your favourite photo from this season?
(Post as many photos you wish at the end of this post or in between each question)
