We had a fantastic time with our friends on our little getaway. They really made it a great mini-vacation. The kids got along beautifully (except for some quarrels – naturally) but nothing major. I totally appreciated how a family with more than one child can really have ‘less’ responsibilities – the kids just hang out together, play endlessly, talk and laugh. Some chaperoning and the occasional meal is needed in between play time. But really, it is much easier to raise a full household than an only child (this is very much debatable – I know) Please know that I reserve the right to delete hateful comments ;)
On a serious note, the kids had a blast! The grown ups did too – most definitely! What made the beach time really fun was a Bocci Ball set. I have never played this before and only thought this was reserved for old Italian men. lol. (again, I can delete the hateful comments ;). I now love Bocci Balls – we have to get a set ourselves and just keep it in the trunk. You never know when you’ll need to play a game. But I also just rested and relaxed, got caught up with some of my reading, and got a massive workout on the crazy dunes surrounding the beach! Awesome ;)
One thing is very clear. I’m lucky to have awesome friends. With one, we are very close neighbours in fact – and that makes us have a ‘sisterly’ relationship. They are all super fun – next time we need to plan an even bigger Friends event ;D Our friends are our beach necessities ;)

WOW!!! Amazing photos!! Looks like you had an amazing time!!! I especially love the one with the grown ups- you all still look like young kids!! Good stuff!! xo
Thanks hon. It really was a great time away – getting a little silly is fun ;)
well that looks like a whole lotta fun. I love all the colors of the shovels and pails.
And I totally agree, that it is easier with more than one. I only have two but they pretty much entertain themselves.(And come running when there is an argument, of course!)
It’s so great when your little ones can actually play and interact with their friends on their own. Lula is two now and she has two great little friends who are also two. It’s been so much easier the older they get as they can negotiate and play with each other without too much help from the adults! Looks like a wonderful, peaceful time at the beach.
